Another classic favorite! Homemade Salmon Patties with Lemon Dill Sauce are scrumptious as an appetizer or for your main dish. If you like cooking salmon in a smoker, you’ll love using the leftovers for this recipe. The smokiness gives it a wonderful kick!
If you don’t cook your salmon in a smoker, you can easily find already prepared smoked salmon in the seafood section of your local grocer. Curious about smoking salmon? Check out this post –> How to smoke salmon.
Of course, you can use canned salmon for this recipe. Just make sure you purchase canned salmon in water, not oil and drain it very well. Though I have not tested this recipe with canned salmon, I trust that it would work just fine.
Measuring out your ingredients after you’ve combined them all is simple. Each portion should be 1/3 cup. You will have 8 patties with this recipe.
You’ll chill the patties in the freezer for about 30 minutes to let them firm up for frying. The oil temperature should be 375 degrees F. They only take a few minutes to fry on each side. The crackers allow the outside to get nice and browned.
I do love these Homemade Salmon Patties with Lemon Dill Sauce. Using smoked salmon gives it that extra kick for a refreshing new twist! This recipe is great for freezing too. (see notes below)
Make it a great day and as always, keep it delicious!
Much love,
Connie
